umour mills around E3 time and are always a treat to listen to the most outlandish rumours suddenly become believable, the most logical things tend to present all sorts of twists and turns there is even a new console that will be unveiled this year with Project Scorpio and who knows it will have any worthwhile games, exciting I tell you. Honestly with the number of things that are constantly rumoured, year in and year out something interesting is bound to happen at E3, who knows maybe Elder Scrolls 6 is announced which most surely is not happening by the way. Lets take a look at 15 games rumoured to appearing at E3 2017 the credible reasons behind this and you should look forward to them or not.
15. The Evil Within 2
Elite job listing has emerged as early as March 2017 about QA and Translation for Psycho Break 2 target hardware is the Xbox One and PS4 of course Psycho Break is the Japanese name for The Evil Within so this pretty much points to The Evil Within 2 being in development, it’s also worth noting that Bethesda VP of Marketing and PR Pete Hines talked about Rage and The Evil Within are warrant enough to have sequels, maybe E3 2017 is where one of those comes to light, as it stands the world could always use more survival horror games with search highlighted femme fatal and instant kill mechanics.
14. Wolfenstein: The New Colossus
This one’s a bit trickier we know that Wolfenstein the new order from machine games in 2014 was a success instead of a sequel though it was followed up by as a sort of expansion in a form of The Old Blood in 2015. Which let’s be honest it was fun but not necessarily a whole new game. The developer has since be quiet though last year saw the retro DOS start up screen for Bethesda’s E3 press mentioned something called ‘The New Colossus’. A new Wolfenstein was further teased by Brian Bloom who voice protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz, Bloom specifically referred to that start up screen and noted that maybe just maybe something related to that was being worked on, given that Bethesda’s release calendar for the next two years is looking kind of bare it would make sense for Wolfenstein: The New Colossus to appear at E3 2017
13. Red Dead Redemption 2 at Sony’s conference
Rockstar already announced Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed to spring 2018, this was pretty much a given since we got next to no information about the game since its announcement late last year, however there’s still a chance we could see it at E3 2017 specifically during Sony’s conference. Sony and Rockstar have an agreement to provide PS4 owners with first access to select online content in Red Dead Redemption 2, given how Rockstar provided new screen for the sequel perhaps an actual game play trailer could be saved for E3 along with information on the select online content, either way I don’t expect a concrete release date especially since a new release window was just provided.
12. New Metroid Games
Retro Studios has been busy making awesome Donkey Kong games for Nintendo but where is the love for Metroid if rumours are to be believed that with Nintendo telling fans to be patient in regarding a new Metroid game, that Metroid Prime 4 could be announced at E3 Nintendo insiders SuperMetalDave64 noted that Metroid Prime 4 would indeed be announced that another new Metroid title would be unveiled, the latter would apparently be handled by a different studio and not Retro, whatever it maybe that Retro is working on noted Emily Rodgers says that it will arrive in 2018 due to the developer having a packed schedule through 2017.
11. Bioware’s project Dylan/Dragon Age 4
What’s up over at Bioware? well several things, Dragon Age 4 is apparently a thing according to its writer, but Bioware is also busy working on a new IP we have heard whispers of this new IP and how it takes elements of The Division and Destiny, perhaps providing a share role experience for all players. We also know that said IP code name: Dylan has been delayed a reveal for one of these seems likely and who knows Dylan may even get a final name, then again why not have Dragon Age 4 arrive late next year while Dylan fills the early quarter, again that is all speculation but for now it is safe to say that Bioware will have some sort of E3 presents if only for the next Dragon Age.
Stay tuned for part two where we will look futher into the rumours and speculation of what games will be shown at E3 2017.
