New Year Fete
When: Saturday @ 12noon – 4pm
Where: Pontir Village Hall
Price: £1 entry, children free.
All Creatures Great and Small are holding a fundraising fete on Saturday with all proceeds going towards veterinary fees for rescued animals. Rural Food & Craft Market

Where: Llanyrafon Manor

Llanyrafon Manor are back with their first food and craft market of 2018. Don’t let the weather put you off, as this event will be taking place inside the Manor. Browse the stalls in the warm and dry before heading to the tearooms for refreshments.
Wedding Showcase & Valentines Market
When: Sunday @ 11am - 3pm
Where: The Tea Rooms, Belle Vue Park

If you are looking for a romantic and unique venue for your wedding, head down to Belle Vue Park this weekend to see what they can offer. As well as the venue’s resident event planner, several of the finest wedding businesses in South Wales will be on site to discuss your big day. There will also be a number of local crafters present on the day, ideal for those of you looking for wedding favours, gifts, or Valentine's chocolates.
Big Garden Birdwatch Bonanza
When: Saturday @ 10:30am – 12noon and 2pm to 3:30pm
Where: Newport Wetlands
Price: A donation
The Wetlands have everything you need to prepare for the Big Garden Birdwatch, including a variety of crafts to help identify bird species. Other activities include making a bird feeder and a bird themed quiz. No need to book, just show up.
Family Fun Day

Where: Greenmeadow Community Farm, Cwmbran
Price: Entry by donation
A day of family fun awaits as Friends of Greenmeadow Community Farm are running this event to raise money for Cheeky’s new stable. Refreshments, kids crafts, face painting and children’s races will all be on offer.
